Ornella, born and raised in Turin, graduated from the Liceo Artistico "R. Cottini" and has always cultivated a passion for the various artistic disciplines. Her dream was to become a ceramic artist and she realized it by creating her own workshop "Dipinto di Blu" in which she creates wonderful artistic works in ceramics.
She lives surrounded by greenery in the hills of Monferrato where nature is her inspiring muse and linking her philosophy of life with her laboratory. The processing of ceramics requires slow times and rhythms, as well as skilled hands capable of modeling the clay giving unique shapes to objects such as vases, vase holders, plates, bowls, bathroom sets, lamps of extreme beauty and wonder.
Ornella always works with joy, passion, dedication and curiosity, always experimenting with new techniques.
The artist creates objects on the lathe and on slabs with decidedly modern lines, but which maintain the taste of tradition. She especially loves the "sgraffito" technique since the engraving and drawings with geometric or floral motifs on the still fresh piece of clay make each piece a work of art. Each "Dipinto di Blu" product is a unique piece, created entirely by hand in the laboratory in Italy and hand-decorated with skilful and delicate skill by an expert potter.
