In the renowned medieval village of Riccia in Molise Silvio Ruggiero created his Art Rock Ruggiero workshop in 2013.
Passionate about marble since he was a boy and thanks to the teachings of expert local artisans, the master Ruggiero has perfected various techniques such as antiquing to make the surface of the product slightly wrinkled enhancing its color, bush hammering to give a rustic look, polishing to make the stone perfectly smooth and chiselling to create characteristic rough surfaces with a strong visual impact.
The passion for the craftsmanship of the stone and the strong influence of his origins pushes him to use materials of exclusively Italian origin such as the Apricena stone, a typical marble extracted in Puglia, the breccia marble extracted from various quarries in southern Italy, up to to the most famous marble in the world: Carrara marble, made famous by the masterpieces of Michelangelo, Canova and Bernini.
The Art Rock Ruggiero production includes lamps, mortars and pestle, centerpiece trays, pockets emptier and many other exclusive creations.
