The first European porcelain artistic workshop was created in 1743 in Capodimonte (Naples) by Carlo III di Borbone, “King of Naples and the two Sicilies”. One of the few heirs who continues with passion and enthusiasm this ancient school, and with the time gained the admiration of experts and collectors from the whole world, is the porcelain artistic workshop Principe, established in 1975 near the city of Vicenza.
Heir of a school which, since more than 250 years, spreads in the world the fine taste and creativity of the Italian porcelain art, Principe managed to melt the creativity from Naples with the Venetian originality, and represents today a clear example of continuity, research and innovation with deep roots in the tradition.
Principe united the personalities and mastery of the its three main artists: Luciano Cazzola, sculptor, Lino Gobbi, shapes and forms designer, and Sergio Traforetti, painter. The three artists managed to melt the respective experiences with harmony, creating a rich production which unites the care for the details and the warm smoothness of colors.
Through the “complementi d'arredo” (home decoration) a genuine desire is pursued, to recreate faithful copies of epoch originals, through techniques and materials which are as close as possible to those employed by the original artists. These reproductions represent in their uniqueness real artistic creations for home decoration, and turn out to be an interesting opportunity for collectors as well.
Every artistic creation of Principe is singularly marked with the brand, and is accompanied by an original certificate, as proof of its authenticity and handmade character.
